PRACTICE FOR CHANGE

£3,270.50 Raised for Young Musicians in South Africa

The 100-Day Practice Challenge has proven that daily dedication to music can do more than just improve playing—it can change lives.

Over the past months, Suzuki students, families, and supporters from around the world came together to raise £3,270.50 for the South Africa Suzuki Association. This fundraiser will help provide instruments, lessons, and opportunities for children who might not otherwise have access to music education, ensuring that more young musicians can grow through the SUZUKI™ Method

During the 100-Day Practice Challenge, I shared daily practice tips on Instagram and YouTube, inspiring and motivating students and teachers worldwide to continue their practice and refine their skills. We also hosted a parent education talk with Graham Rix and Tessa Oakley on Mindful Practice and an inspirational discussion with Suzuki leaders from South Africa, including Maria Botha, Carol Solomon, and Sonnika Venter.

You can watch all the videos now on my YouTube Channel: 100-Day Practice Challenge Playlist.

This campaign was about more than just fundraising—it was about building connections  and community across borders. Through daily practice, participants embodied the Suzuki philosophy of small, consistent efforts leading to great results—not only in their own playing but also in creating a lasting impact for children in South Africa.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who practiced, donated, and shared this initiative. The Suzuki community has once again shown its power to make a difference!
