Muzudikz 2021 highlights Capetown, SOUTH AFRICA

I cannot let this year pass without sharing just two (of so many) Muzukidz highlights with you.  The year was again filled with beautiful achievements which are paving the way for promising futures of children in the Muzukidz programmes.

MUZUKIDZ GQEBERHA: All the children in our young Muzukidz Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) programme delighted their families, teachers and friends with a year-end concert - celebrating what they have been taught throughout the year and enjoying making music together.  This is living proof of what a difference the programme already makes in the lives of these children and I am thrilled to include two short video clips in this email which makes my heart jump with joy!  The first one really speaks more than words can say and offers a glimpse of how the Muzukidz journey all starts....

MUZUKIDZ CAPE TOWN: In June this year, 18 children who started violin in 2015 auditioned for places in the Cape Philharmonic's Music Academy orchestras.  Only 11 and 12 years old now, they all passed their auditions successfully and were placed in the Intermediate or Junior Orchestra of the Academy.  They rehearsed every Saturday morning, learning new orchestral repertoire and being coached the varied disciplines to become a good orchestra player.  All the hard work culminated in a most auspicious event when they performed in a Gala Concert presented in the Cape Town City Hall on 5 December.  Besides this being the first time for them to perform in such a renowned concert hall, their parents and families could simply not be more proud!

Thank you so much for your interest and contribution in the journey of Muzukidz. Without the support of friends and sponsors these results will not be possible.  Even just sharing the journey with us is already of great value and motivates us to continue bringing you more good news in the years to follow!

May 2022 also be filled with good news for you!
