On Saturday, October 14th, around 20 teachers from Vienna, Lower Austria, Carinthia, Upper Austria and Styria met at the Johannes Brahms Music School Mürzzuschlag.

Ten years of ASIoM - Austrian Suzuki Institute of Music and five years of Suzuki Center Mürzzuschlag were the reason for a celebration day in the hall of the music school. The transverse flute ensemble (Julia Bendl class), the Flying Strings (leader Mag. Simone Mustein, students from the classes Elisabeth Schmetterer, Mag. Lisa Egger-Charvat, Gernot Rupp and Raphael Vorraber) and the Suzuki Trumpet Juniors (class dir . Mag. Michael Koller).

This was followed by lectures via video from international experts such as Haukur Hannesson (Sweden) and Martin Rüttimann (Switzerland) with subsequent discussions about the respective topics. After lunch together, colleagues Anna Lea Stefansdottir (“10 years of ASIoM – Where are we going?”) and Annalisa Virzi gave lectures about SECE (Suzuki Early Childhood Education). The time afterwards was too short for lively exchange among colleagues.
