First Suzuki Violin Exams in RUSSIA
A little bit of history was made last month when the first Suzuki Violin exams to take place on Russian soil were conducted in an historic mansion with a great musical history and the home of the International Union of Musicians. The building is in the historic centre of Moscow and is located opposite the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
On 26 & 27 November 2016, ESA Violin Teacher Trainer Helen Brunner presented six Violin Teacher Trainees for examination before Teacher Trainers/Examiners Martin Rüttimann and Christophe Bossuat. Examinations were taken in ESA Levels 1, 2 and 3 and all teachers were successful in achieving a pass.
During the ESA Teacher Trainers' visit to Moscow, the President of the Russian Suzuki Association, Olga Saprygina, organised a concert in the Museum of Nicholas Roerich where Teacher Trainees performed with their students and the ESA Teacher Trainers.
