EstSA are happy to report that , after many years of waiting and negotiating, Suzuki Piano Teacher Training has finally come to Estonia.

In the past, Estonian Teachers interested in Suzuki Piano have travelled to Finland for their Teacher Training and Examinations.  However, as interest amongst Teachers and Parents has grown, EstSa have worked to get their own Teacher Training Course established in Estonia.  After careful observation and discussion with several ESA Teacher Trainers, Grant Mead, ESA Teacher Trainer from Great Britain accepted our invitation to travel to Estonia to present an Introductory Course on the Suzuki Method™ for the Piano.

The course was held in Tallinn Georg Ots Musical College and was attended by 25 Piano Teachers from Estonia, Finland and Sweden.
The first day consisted of a presentation of the Suzuki Method™ in general with extracts of lessons with Mrs. Kataoka and a short overview of the Repertoire.

The second day was a more practical session with open lessons for Estonian Suzuki Piano students and lesson on Variations for newcomers.

Feedback from the participants was incredibly positive and many teachers decided to sign up there and then for the Level 1 Piano Teacher Training Course

EstSA would like to thank Mr. Arne Saluveer, Principal of Tallinn Georg Ots Musical College for providing a wonderful venue and musical atmosphere for the Course as well as the use of the College's Steinway Grand Pianos.

Special thanks goes to the European Suzuki Teaching Development Trust (ESTDT) for their support - indeed, everything is possible!
